With humble beginnings as a mountain cattle ranch in 1947, the Flying W Ranch is a 1400-acre, fourth generation family owned and operated living symbol of Western Heritage. There are three parts to the Summer Chuckwagon Dinner Show - the majestic and interactive western grounds, the hearty Chuckwagon dinner, and the riveting Original Western Stage Show. During the first part of the evening, guests can enjoy the magnificent red rock formations filled with mountain streams, duck-filled ponds, many enchanting ranch animals and wildlife and a plethora of interactive activities; take a ride on the Russell M Wolfe Narrow Gauge train, ride in a Percheron horse drawn carriage, encounter the highly endangered American Milking Devon Oxen that brought the settlers west in the 1800s, throw an axe, witness Navajo rug weaving and leatherworking, and Native American dancing. Guests then indulge in a hearty Chuckwagon meal. After the dinner bell is rung, guests flow through the famous Chuckwagon serving line where they are served a traditional chuckwagon meal, much like what would be served out on the trail, with smoked meats and all the trimmings. After dinner, the legendary Flying W Wranglers, the second-oldest western singing band in the world, take the stage to perform a riveting show of live music featuring superb instrumentation, unparalleled vocals and harmonies, and enough clean comedy to have your heart singing as you meander down the star-studded trail at the end of the evening.
